Tank size is the most important piece of information...

Generally, no. They'll be killed for the most part with the two salvini in there, and depending on the aggression of the severum and JD. Crabs and crays are out - they will try to eat the fish at night when the fish are sleeping, and can do damage, and then when the cray/crab molts, it'll be a very nice snack for the fish.

im sry im setting up a 100 gal cichlid tank in a few weeks and i was looking for some cool looking cichlids to put in it. i realy like the peacock bass..but im not sure what i can put with them i want at least 6 to 8 cichlids in the 100gal. but what i've heard from others i might not get the chance to have a peacock... i have another q? can you put perch breeds with central american cics together?

if ur interested in native fish check out NANFA, after going with native fish I would have a hard time going back to tropicals/ non native fish. I would not mix them but I am not sure what you mean by perch because coastal texans that are used to sw seem to call every freshwater fish a perch but the true perch range from darters to walleye.

Finescale Asian Tigerfish, Siamese Tigerfish, Four-Barred Asian Tigerfish, thos are the perch type of fish im talkin about im doin some more reserch. heres a web site with pis of them.. Freshwater Aquarium - Big Perch types take a lot if you get time and let me know if you have herd of them..
I think you can keep a couple of tigerfish(datnoids) in a 100gal. Be careful cus they like live foods.

Pbass is a definate nono in a 100gal. They need a 200gal+

I'm just cycling a 20 gal to put a Cichlid in (will get a larger tank later in the year).

Would Corys, snails or other bottom feeders be fine?
