Male or Female Blue Ram?

Looks like a male. He looks pale though.
Another way of telling them apart is that female sometimes have light blue spots or "spangles" inside of the big blue spot on the side of their body. Males wont have this

Am I right in thinking the first two rays of the dorsal fin are often longer and more pronounced in males and this can be a way of sexing younger Rams.

I Haven't any at the moment but recall that was how they were sexed at the LFS when I bought mine. At the time they couldn't guarantee it but it proved to be correct when they developed and the pink bellies showed through.

As for yours I would err towards male, espec if jeuvenile and waiting for full colouration to show.

Pretty fish either way, I love the blues on these fish.....

Here are my Paired Blue Rams. I was asking about that other because if it was a male, he will just be annoying my pair (maybe a divider during spawning...)

but this picture should show some great differences between the two sexes
