So basically ive been reading and reading and reading and then reading a lil more about planted tanks and looking at pics and videos of planted tanks and I feel like i am ready to take the plunge. Im going to be using a 29g tank that I had planned on turning into a nano tank. so far ive gotten the tank setup and cycled without fish (thanks to miss fishy's cycling info)

And i have my soil (no name garden soil) 40lbs main ingeridents are soil and flyash

And i have it soaking starting the mineralizing process

i will try and keep things posted as much as possible but we all know that there are only 24 hrs in a day so bear with me

hope this thread helps anyone that wants to start one up, i am by know means an expert with planted tanks so feel free to comment with suggestions or question. here goes should be a fun adventure.
