I'm finally able to set up the 10 gallon again and I was wondering about using Stability. I've seen mixed reviews so I was wondering if it was worth it. My brother used it and got his tank set up in a week. So what do you think?

To officially "set up" any tank fully, you must have it cycled which takes about a month or so to do. to figure out what this means if you are confused, type in "How to cycle a fish tank" on Google and you'll be able to do it yourself.

Got it. Well after reading some reviews on it, it may seem like it works? Just to be safe though I would say you should try cycling your tank the normal way. By using that product you may endanger your fish, and you also find it to be a waste of time if it truly doesn't work...

I know how to cycle a tank. My question was about using Stability to shorten the time needed to cycle it.
I've never used it personally (I do silent cycles with planted tanks), but my dentist used it to set up 5 tanks in his treatment rooms (says that fish help keep patients calm! I agree!). He swears by it, says he had no losses on his fish and was able to fully stock them within 2 weeks.

I've read both good and bad about it but only know one that used it. Based on his experience, I'd say its ok to use. If you decide to use it, be sure to tell of your experience.

I myself used a cycling agent, and i also used some gravel from a friend of mine who's tank was already established. Patience pays off, and i would highly suggest you dont use the special product. But if you do, keep constant checks on your water params...

I started dosing today so if the bottle is correct I should be done by Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Then we'll see if it really works.

I finished the dosing Yesterday and took my only chance and got the fish. Only one puffer suffered from shock but it was very brief. Ammonia was 0, same with Nitrites, and Nitrates were very low. So I would recommend using Stability to start up a tank.
