Most of those products wont *hurt* anything, but there's no good way to know if it helped in your case or not... Most of the time we don't suggest any of them because they are really just a waste of your money :)

Actually, I use the API Stress Zyme. I put a drop of the liquid on a slide and used a microscope...lots of action in that one drop so the bacteria are definitely alive and kicking. I do add them to my tanks when I start them up, but, I also follow normal cycling. Not sure if my cycling is the casue or the bacteria help, but, I can usually cycle a tank in about 2 weeks.

Hey little fry I was wanting to know what type of fish that is in your avatar. As far as the questio, I have used that product and have yet to lose a fish. Even when I ended up having to put fish into a tank as I was filling it from the tap. Please don't try that tho, it was an emergency and a long story.
