Getting a 150g YEAH!!!

The last photo of the setup of my 150g- I GIVE UP!
OK, for those of you who don't link the two threads, I will fill you in. I flooded my house filling this tank. Its a long horrible nightmare that has its own thread. I did right at 10K worth of damage to my house. So, roughly 48 hours after the floor in my house was finally done being replaced this is what happened. Take a good look at that picture. It is my worst nightmare. That is a very large crack running all the way to the bottom of the tank. Sounded like a gunshot. Had fish in there and everything.
The good news. It gushed, but not faster than we could snatch out fish and divert the water with comforters, towels, etc. So, the fish were fine and so was the entertainment center. Had we been at work 12 hours later that would be unlikely on both counts. And the new floor came through like the water-resistant flooring it bragged about being. Yippee.
The bad news. Well, we all know that's a really, really long list don't we? All that time and money...And the worst of it: I took 5 of my beautiful angelfish to be sold at a LFS today. We cannot afford another tank that size and my husband can't stomach the sight of all that water hovering around our belongings with an unspoken threat of disaster anymore. So, there is no huge tank in my future, just a big hole in my heart and in my wallet. I really hoped to give them all an appropriate home, but it just wasn't meant to be.

that was sad. but the good news all about this is your floor survived and nothing else was damaged and most imp. (Which would had been most heartbreaking) all fish survived.
I dont want to cry on spilled milk now, but i saw you really RUSH into setting up big tank i have to say. I got 46G tank and i scared to see the size of this tank (because i leave in a home with just 4 rooms, total 700 sq. feet , this is the norm in Mumbai here, its like we hav to live like japanese in terms of space) , I took whole month just to test out the tank's strength and will it hold the water if filled up, i kept raising the water level on stand, 25 percent each 4-5 days and it was filled with just water for month, then i moved ahead to replace.
Anyway, i really am not trying to criticize you but i saw you get too excited to set it up fast. anyway. sorry if i ranted a lill on your ill-fate .

when glass breaks it is age, not the fault of the person filling it up. If it was the rubber seals, then it would have been her fault for not resealing the tank.
Might want to call your insurance agent. Sounds like the tank was stressed being moved in a hurry during the original flood and this resulting damage is still a part of your claim. Unless it was drained entirely and all weight taken out of it, just pushing/pulling the tank and/or stand could have stressed the glass.
