Fungus? Algae? HELP!

So I've had this brown fungus/algae in my tank (on the glass, it resembles diatoms) for around a month now and nothing I've tried works...I think it is a result of my BP's infertile eggs. I have some algae killer I used that did not work and I also have some "fungus eliminator" that treats specific types but I'm not sure exactly what it is. What type of fungus/algae is this?? (My snail made tracks in it)

Caused by too much light and/or too much fertilzer (dissolved organic compounds, aka rotting food and/or fish waste).

Just do more gravel vacuums with more water changes.

Hm ok. Ironically, I found a slow leak in my tank today, so I had to transfer my hard work to another tank, in the process I did about a 50% water change so I'm already on my way! haha =P

I agree ,also don't be afraid of cleaning the glass during weekly vac and water changes. What I do is clean front and back one week, then the sides the next week, I don't do all the glass at once because you have good bacteria on your glass to. Good luck
