Hi Everyone!! I just wanted to say hello to all friendly posters who are interested in this great hobby. I just found this site again after being pre-occuppied with other things over 5 years which have slowly passed and now am very thankfull to be here I've noticed a major change in Site layout, Awesome job Mr. Host!! Anyway I've been in the fish hobby for over 15 years I have learned quickly and have come up with alot of solutions on my own along the way. Like others though I have had my share of researches on many fish topics from DIY's to Salt-water and everything in between. I enjoy reading about fish and articles and absolutely love the hobby it is amazing to me. Some day soon I Will own thousands of gallons of water distributed between , Amazon, Tropical, Cichlid and salt throughout my own home... I am planning on designing a public aquarium for giggles maybe someday that will become a reality!!!!
Besides all other tanks i've had from the pass, I currently own 7 tanks, 2 of them are up, 1 is curing, and 4 are on the way!

Fantastic :) I have a 36g and 10g, I could not imagine owning 7 tanks, yet alone 55g+ like many people on here own! But it truly is a fabulous hobby and welcome back! :)

Welcome to the "insane fish tank owners" club! We are called that because we have multiple multiple tanks. I currently have...let me count really quick...eleven tanks up and running, if you include my small betta tanks. lol Three of those tanks are going to be condensed into one of the other slightly bigger tanks soon, though (hopefully in the next week or so...I need to not only redo the tank, but get rid of the two current inhabitants, which are two juvenile platies that I left in there to grow out). My tanks include a 55gal community, a 46gal bowfront coldwater community, a 29gal semi-aggressive community, an 18gal tall "community" (consisting of two fish at the moment...a flame dwarf gourami and a panda cory), a 20gL that has the two platies in it but is soon to be a divided betta fraternity, a 10gal divided three ways for male bettas (which will be one of the tanks torn down so the inhabitants will go into the 20gL), a 6gal FBH with a male betta, a 5gal bowfront with a male betta, a Hex5 with a male betta (getting torn down and the inhabitant moved to the 20gL), a 2gal hex with a male betta (getting torn down and the inhabitant moved to the 20gL), and 1.5gal with a male betta.

omg Paige I didn't realize you had so many tanks up and running i suppose from the chernobyl thread i should've gotten that.. but i'm slow LOL

We are insane about our tanks and are very honest.. any of us will tell you what you are doing is wrong or right and some of us stick our foot in our mouths from time to time.. but its all in good fun and love of our swimming buddies :D

Personally I have 3 tanks running now and a 10g quarantine tank sitting on the counter for new arrivals (has no water in it.. but is prepared to start as soon as water is added.. i love your idea of starting an aquarium.. if you do can i have a job?

i actually thought about applying to PETCO in my area to become their fish specialist because their tanks are so nasty and "under observation" all the time.. i thought.. "man I could change this place around!!" and the employees all know me by first name from me buying lights and food and the parameter tests and stuff all the time.. i would be in trouble if i got an employee discount there though.. be coming home with tanks all the time.. HAHA
