My first water change ^^

well i just did my first water change at 10 pm. i did a 5 gallon out of 15 so whats that like a 30 instead of 50 percent water change ill do like a 75% water change tomorrow wish is 2 5 gallon but the whole thing is with the cucumber there is ABUNCH and i mean crap load of little lines of what looks like to be cucumber in the gravel...how do i get this out/avoid it? i dont wanna take away the cucumber because the pleco loves it....i just dont know how i can keep the tank clean with it.

Whatever's not eaten in about 24 or 36 hours, take it out and put more in. I guess the water really breaks vegetables down, then they get everywhere and in your rocks and your filter and its just a mess.

I heard not to leave a veggie in your tank for more than 8 hours or so. You can suck out the pieces with a gravel vac.

yeah i was using a gravel vac im going to start changing them every morning and night so 2 a day

Cucumbers break down quickly. Try zucchini

My gravel vac is comming in next week im using my friends cheapy one right now
