Rams and angels should be fine. The rams will inhabit the bottom level of the tank (my Tyr doesn't go above midway on the tank, even at feeding time) and the angels will inhabit the mid- to upper-levels of the tank.
Random announcement...my albino cories in the 55gal spawned today! Managed to catch it on vid. However, the cories devoured the eggs within 15 minutes or so.
I could have moved the eggs after they firmed-up some, but the cories got to them before they were firm enough for me to remove. I found out after the fact that if I had fed the tank with bloodworms right after the cories spawned, they would have probably left the eggs alone until I could have gotten them out.
Yes, it is. My son is named after the star of the Matrix (my ex-husband's idea since he's OBSESSED with those movies) and we had a dog named after the main character from the Matrix at the time.
if you have a filter, that doesnt make a waterfall (first make sure theres no waterfall happening in your tank) you can aim the bubbles from the CO2 air tube into the intake of the filter and the filter's impeller will chop em up and spit the dissolved CO2 out.
congrats on the eggs bass! Even if they didn't hatch into those so-ugly-that-they're-cute fry, it's still great that your tank is good enough for them to spawn
(and your tank is SO CLEAN!)
