She was born that way and yes does well in a normal ACF tank. Just has balance issues and its hard for her to locate food due to having messed up lateral lines.

ACFs are a social species yes but gimpy would probaly benifit being alone until I can get converted to larger prey(krill, pinkies, nightcrawlers, prawn, silverside etc.). She needs to pack on some size before I could introduce her to another acf. Most acfs would be smaller then her when I go to the store.

In a nutshell it is unlikely she will get a buddy.

I love acf's! They have one at my lfs who is absolutely huge! Gimpy... great name!
