My Mommy Platy in my 5.5 gallon tank gave birth about an hour or 2 ago. When i got home i noticed she was ALOT skinnier so i imideietly started searching the tank for fry. Felix and the parents prob ate alot of them but i managed to save 5 fry. They are in a cup that my betta fish came in and idk what i should do to care for them. Can anyone please help me? When there grown il add them into my big tank or sell them to the LFS. What do i feed them and how many times a day? Ive raised guppy fry on crushed flakes before, should i try that or is there something else i can do like boil and egg or something? PLEASE OFFER ANY HELP POSSIBLE :D

you should either float the can in the tank or put them in a breeder net in the tank, because otherwise how are you keeping their water warm?

feed them either crushed flake, or they also should take hikari first bites and frozen baby brine shrimp.

keeping them in a cup w/o water circulation is a bad call. get a breeding net.

If you're changing from 24 hours cooled off water to warm tank water, no, I wouldn't.

Here's a suggestion. How big is the net you use to catch fish? Put the fry in it and clip it to the side for a temporary breeder net. That should hold you over until you can figure out what you're going to do with them permanently.

There's 5, right? I guess it depends on how big of a net you've got, but they might outgrow that before they grow big enough not to be swallowed. Try and save up some money for a breeder net. You'll be able to reuse it, and I think mine was like 11 dollars on amazon.
