I don't see any on any of the fish, but I'm going to wait a few more days before I turn the heat back down just incase there's still some in the water.

Random Announcement:
I transferred my fry from the 1.5 gal jar to a 6-7 gallon plastic storage container and did a fry count:

139 FRY! Give or take a couple.

Paige,

I hope you're feeling better soon. I knew a guy who had some infection brewing in a wisdom tooth socket and soothed/cleaned it with swishes of vodka. It might ease the pain a bit.
WOWZA!! 139 french fries?! That's a ton!

No vodka for me. I don't drink and I'm not going to go buy vodka just for that. HOWEVER, it turns out that it isn't a dental issue at all. I apparently have a staph infection in/on my tonsils! They gave me a 10 day course of antibiotics (cephalexin because I'm allergic to penicillians) and I took the first dose tonight. I already feel 100 times better! YAY!

@Paige: My favourite dental surgery 'food' is a can of peaches with their juices blended with vanilla ice cream! Hope you feel better soon . . . .
That does sound good, laura. I'll have to see if my parents have any ice cream. The problem is, I can't really get a spoon into my mouth because of the fact that the infection from my tonsils (see above) had started to spread into my jaw, so I can't open my mouth far enough to get most food in. I can't even chew anything that I can get into my mouth 'cuz the motion of it hurts.

@ Paige-Hope you can get to see the doc soon.

That's why it's blended - so you just use a straw! No chewing . . . .

Maybe platies? Maybe catfish? Maybe SAE? Possibly the zebra snail?

PetSmart had my peppered corries on sale this weekend for 2 bucks a piece. I has three in my 10 gal now. Philbert doesn't even pay attention to them....and I'm seeing fewer and fewer copepods already.

Yay for cories! Just remember that you'll have to move them to the 29gal before long. They get big (about 2-2.5") and are active little things. Just ask mine. ;)

So, my shopping list (now that my owie is taken care of ;) ) for my tanks this paycheck includes:
Black sand for the 46gal (about 30lbs of it or so)
Human skull decoration
Egg crate lighting cover stuff
Four tiger barbs
Ten black neon tetras (if they're on sale)
Two panda cories
One female GBR
Black slate
10lbs of black gravel
10lbs of dark, natural gravel
Plants (anacharis, frill, cabomba, water wisteria, hornwort...maybe even some off AquaBid, but we'll see)

Yep, I know where they'll go. The biggest of the three is maybe an inch long right now, so I figure I have some time to go.

The tetras and barbs should be half price today at PetSmart. You'll have to go elsewhere for the GBR and probably the pandas. They may have some anacharis, but they have to keep it in a tank instead of a tube.

One of my LFSs (the one I got my male GBR from) has them regularly now, so I'll get the girly ram there. I have to create some caves in my 55gal first, though. Yay for minor re-'scapes!

As for the panda cories, the other LFS carries them regularly and they're like $2.49, so I've got that covered.

YAY for black neons and tigers being half price at Petsmart! My Petsmart doesn't carry any plants in tubes, they're all in a specific hydroponic tank. :) Petco carries some tube plants, but I don't trust them (except their swords, which I know are aquatic). They have java moss and some plants that Petsmart doesn't, though.

Forgot to add to the list:
1 pearl gourami!

Already know that the LFS that has the GBRs has pearl gouramis as well. lol I know where I'm getting everything on my list...except the black sand. I'm trying to find it in more bulk than the 5lbs bags that one of the LFSs carries (the same LFS with the GBRs and pearls).

I spent like 3 hours going over that guide making it look nice and all people say is, you did it wrong. Other guides that look like mine everyones like :STICKY: and AWESOME GUIDE and igot hurtful critizisms :(

My next paycheck will be as followed:
50$ motorcycle
30$ for gas
50$ Saving for GF ring
40$ Lighting for fishies:) and maybesome glass cleaner, the tanks look dirty. Thank freaking gawd I paid my insurance at the begining of the year and my phone is taken care of for another 20 days :).

I want to make a breeding tank for fish to feed to my rosy, but it takes too much time for the fry to grow up and its so much easier to buy some rosies to feed him....but they usualy are sick and I dont like making him sick to watch him eat a baby fish....even if I like to.....

Why are my 4 females all clamped fin and why can I opnly see 3....dangit....im tired too

Melee...it was constructive criticism about only one aspect of your thread that was misleading.

As for your girls being clamped...hate to tell you, but I personally think a 10gal is too small for a successful sorority. There's nowhere for the girls to get away from each other, which leads to a lot of stress. The smallest I'd keep a sorority in (of 4-5 girls) is a 20gL. Clamped fins=stressed fish.

Edit: If I can find Eco Complete at a Petco down in Phoenix (where I'm going for Thanksgiving), I'm going to use that in the 46gal instead of black sand. http://www.petco.com/Shop/Product.aspx?sku=1245848&pd=recentlyviewedproduct

I dont know why they are so stressed thought....I put the other 5 into a tank and they are much larger and they are getting along fine.....Well....nevermind only one has clamped fins...she was being nipped earlier today. The rest are okay...Must have been the water change being almost 100% and the temp drop of like 6 degrees. I tried to acclimate them over a period of about 4 hours. poor crown tail....lost a giant chunk of tail in my last breeding session that went down hill after looking so promising....they tried embracing for like 45 minutes then it just went downhill...

I Would hate to see myself drop another 80 to keep the girls happy. And I know it was constructive...I just cant believe I wouldnt think of that...and I cant go back an edit it anymore...i wonder if there is an edit limit

I felt the one section concerning monthly cleaning of the substrate was not a good thing to do and could cause harm to someone following it as a guide. I'm sorry that you felt that it was 'hurtful critizisms.'

Do you feed only feeders to your oscar?
