You can get some at your pet store, but, at my store at least, it's ten dollars for a small tube. What I always do is just go to Lowes or Walmart and buy a tube of Silicone I for like 5 dollars. The important thing here is to get Silicone I, not Silicone II. II has an anti-mold agent that over time will kill your plants and fish, but I is just straight up silicone with no toxic additives. I'd say be careful and read the label too to make sure you're getting clear or white or black just because its frustrating to have the wrong color if it's going to be somewhere visible. Also, I recently found out you can safely use super glue in your aquarium.

It sounds like you used Silicone II if it made your fish sick, but here's a fun fact about that. If you soak whatever you glued together with II in water long enough, you'll be able to leach the toxins out and make it safe. Not knowing what I was doing, I resealed my 55 with II and killed a few fish. Once I realized what I did I left it full of water for months and did weekly water changes, and once algae started growing I figured the toxins were gone. I wouldn't recommend this since I don't know of a way to know for sure when its not toxic anymore, but fish still live healthy lives in that tank to this day, so it is possible.

Yeah, it was a clear silicon II. I will try to use the silicon I by GE I believe....I still got my use out of it when my window seal popped out and needed re-silicating

I would rather not try to play the guessing game using it again. If you believe that the silicon I would keep my fishies alive and flopping i will give it a go around. I hate seeing my plastic plants floating cause my 5 inch oscar pulls them up and they float to the surface. I plan on using it to fill the sleigh of the plastic plants with, then sticking substrate gravel into it.

Okay, so picking up the camera on Friday (tomorrow) because my stupid manager told me the wrong day for our paycheck (told me we were getting paid Wednesday, but it's actually Friday, like normal). The guy with the camera was nice enough to hold it for me, though! About learning to use it...I have a head-start on that. My friend has a Nikon D5000 DSLR camera that she has let me play with on numerous occasions (like when we went to Vegas and I got to play paparazzi with the guys in the yellow Corvette next to us on the freeway lol), so I know the basics of how to use it.

Airstones don't really add oxygen, per say. In any other situation, and I assume this is the same for what your'e doing, you need something to break the surface of the water to let oxygen mix in. An airstone, a "waterfall" filter, and numerous other things will work for that.
