@Paige-How's the pain in the mouth? Lookin forward to some great pics of your tanks!
The pain/infection is pretty much gone. Thanks for asking! :)

Got my camera yesterday! Need to download the manual 'cuz this thing is darned confusing! Although I do LOVE the panorama setting (was playing with that camera this morning).

Good news!
I came back to school from Thanksgiving at home and found my repaired light waiting for me downstairs at the neighbor's apartment since they were nice enough to take it out of the rain for me, and it looks great. If anyone was curious, Marineland has great customer service. They were helpful from the start (even though I was probably a little rude to them), they answered my questions all along the way, and quickly fixed my light and sent it back absolutely free. Five stars for them.

I've recently replaced a ballast on one of their lights. It had been running since 1991 with no problems! New ballast, and I hope this one lasts till 2029!

I have some issues with the Marineland filter that I have, but that's probably more my own issue since what I wanted was a canister but I had to settle for another HOB for financial reasons. I can't lie and say its a bad filter. The LED light I have from them is great for what it is, and it suits me just fine.

The only plant that didn't do so well was my ruffle plant, but I think I had some other things going on with it because it was fine for months with the leds before it took a sudden downturn.

My disappointing news (or rather, my puzzle to solve for the day), is that the cool fish tank stand I design and planned to build in December with my dad won't fit in my apartment. I have crazy angled ceilings and it'll be too tall with the tank on it to go anywhere reasonable, other than my bedroom, or where the tv currently is. I guess time to convince my girlfriend to let me put it there? I could make it shorter but I'd either have to lose the elbow room to get into my 10s, or lose the drawers which sucks because I was excited about finally having somewhere to put all my junk. :/

Got a new betta boy last night at Petco. I've had my eye on him for a few days, but thought I didn't have the money to get him. Two of my piano students paid me more than I was expecting, so I was able to get him. He's going into Emmett's 10gal once Emmett gets moved to the 20gL.

So I went to my first "Fish Club" meeting tonight! I meet Ed from Ed's almost natural fish food, super nice guy! I scored a 60 watt 2 bulb 36 inch light for $11, a big java fern for $1 and the best deal for me......3 vail tail blushing Angels! (Fingers crossed that at least 2 of my 5 juvies pair up at some point!)
