Thats the one I am worried about. I have heard some bad things about that vendor. We had a few local reefers buy from him several times (group buys) I am guessing here, they had like two orders come in alright, except some of the corals were very small and being fresh cut, most corals didn't make it. Their last coral order took several months to get in, he kept coming up with excuses, when they did come in, he sent wrong corals to most. I have read the term chop shop used in referance to him in several of the bigger online forums. Hoping for the best for you and the order. I will try and get you the link to their post on the group buy. Found it, will PM it to you.

My Bad :( mis understood. How are the corals from the first frag package doing, everything good? Keep us informed, I will be in your place a few months from now, buying a few corals. Did you start them out on the bottom of your tank?

Tell us about your frag tank, I would love to hear about it, lights, flow, size of the tank, pics, what is your quarantine procedure for your corals when you get them in, I want to know all about it :) The one thing that I am worried about most in getting into SPS corals, is not wither I can keep the corals alive, which is second on the list, but rather the pest that may come in on them and get into my tank. I have read to many horror stories with this issue. I have pretty much come to the conclusion, and I know this isn't a guarantee, but I think its about the best one can do. My choice will be to only buy from the better online coral companies, their are also 3 or 4 online reefers that I would buy from. Like I said no guarantee, but companies like Pro Corals, Gonzo Corals,Vivid, Reef Exotic, Jason Fox, Battle Corals, Blue Zoo, Live Aquaria wouldn't stay in business long if they were sending out corals loaded down with pest. The down side, you pay a higher price for their corals, but looking at the big picture and how much we have invested in our system's, what's another $15 to $20 per frag if its a premium quality, pest free coral. It will take longer to fill my tank this way, but you can save a few $$$ by buying frag packages from these companies. My way isn't for everyone though, most want a tank full of corals yesterday.

If you watch my video, the tank in my equipment room is all plumbed in the same system as my show tank, it is 48x24x15. It is a tank i custom built myself. I freshwater did all my corals before they enter my system. The lights on the frag tank are the same led lights i have on my show tank. So all together i have 6 120w 50/50 blue/white fixtures, 4 on the 225,2 on the frag. They are no name fixtures i bought from a manufacturer in china, You can find them on ebay or even a few other vendors trying to sell them for twice the price as there own. I run a mag 24 on the 225 as a return and a mag 18 for a return on my frag tank. I have 4 koralia 8's on my 225, and 2 koralia 7's on my frag tank. I run carbon through brs reactor's. i have a super reef octopus 8000 cone skimmer, and i use a super reef octopus cr5000 duel calcium reactor. I have a 30 gallon fuge attached to the system as well. IO run about 500ml of bio pellets in a super reef octopus bp 140 reactor that ports directly into my skimmer

You know I want only the best for you, your corals and your tank :) Salty, with the system you have in place, I would think about putting in a stand alone 10g frag tank. You have the lights and space for it, so cost would be minimal. Watched your video again, are you running GFO in that reactor or just carbon?

What would be the point of that???? I have a shallow 80 gallon tank dedicated to frags, housing colony's, and grow out! The brs reactor's, I run carbon in them. The gfo side is open in case i need to run it .

I was thinking, and I may be wrong about this. With the corals you are getting, they are not cheap. If you were to get one coral with say, Flat worms on it and put it in your tank, there is a good chance that it would infect your whole tank. You have the materials to start up the stand alone tank, so why take the chance of infecting your whole system. Just a thought.

flatworms will not survive the fresh water dip they get

I am upgrading my led's to 3w cree's. Each fixture is 240w and has 80 on it. Two will go on my 225 and one on top of my frag tank( 3 total). They will all be controlled by one controller with 24/7 settings completely dimmable and adjustable.

they are being finished now and will be shipped next week ~yay~ ~yay~
