So I want another larger scale nano tank comparable to my Edge (6.6g)... but this time I want it setup for Co2 High Light Plants for a shrimp paradise (and eventually probably a CPO as well). Considering all the tanks out there and my standing love for fluval (I'm a HagenHead... what can I say) I think its going to come down to the Flora/Ebi or an ADA Mini-L....

Depending on your budget...id go wit larger of two.
36 w or led, but wpg doesn't work well on a tank smaller than 20ish
Substrate, i like gravel or sand. Then add root tabs, a lot cheaper in long run meaning you'd have to replace the specific nutriment based substrate
Diy co2 vs co2 replacements for that one. Weigh conveince

I'm all for the look of the tanks, but id like more floor space over height

Just keep in mind with a smaller tank you will have a hard time keeping the algae growth down and also cloudy water from so much light. I have a 10 gallon hex with a great filter and 2 led strips and the water always has a haze to it because of the amount of light. I had to turn off one of the lights just to keep it from being cloudy.

yeah i know that typically is a problem (i run a couple nano tanks)... but im not sure exactly how much light i want/need for the high light plants and what fixtures would be best suited.

So, I have been on about 3 different forums asking opinions on this... this is what ive narrowed it down to so far... going with the ada mini-L tank.


Only things that I think will changed at this point in time is the co2 setup... maybe the light..

I would still like to know any possibilities or insight about any part of the setup you guys have.
