Two sick leporinus, a dead brown knife, and a dead pictus catfish. All in the same week. Hoping somebody recognizes something from one of the symptoms.

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 50ppm
Ph between 6-7

Brown knife died first, then i noticed the pictus and one leporinus looked faded. The leporinus has reddish markings on its underside and his tail turned dark. The pictus belly turned almost white, and his spots were barely visible. That night the pictus died before i could quarantine them..

I've got the leporinus in my quarantine tank now. All the other occupants of the tank appear normal.

Check your tap/water change source pH against your tank pH to check for a crash. Your nitrate is a bit high but nothing that would kill fish that hardy. Are these marks look like trauma or something else.
My tap is just a hair higher.

The marks on the leporinus look like they could be from trauma but not so much for the cats. The b knife died when i was at work and was suck in the filter intake when i came home so it was hard to tell what caused him to go.

Tried to load some pics but i couldn't. I'll upload them tomorrow morning.

For now i just did another water change. All defends fine in the community tank without the leps
