This is the metal stand for my new 75g setup. Titan Eze. Got it from DrsFosterandSmith for $84.99. They're designed to hold two tanks. Per specs, this one can hold two 48"x18" 75/90/110, but I couldn't imagine putting something heavier than a 75g on it. It's pretty heavy tubular steel that slides together. Typical Chinese quality. 3 of 4 "resin" foot covers are totally cracked.

It's high @ 36". If you're vertically challenged or had a 90/110 on it, you'd need a step ladder for tank maintenance!

Not sure I'm thrilled with this stand. I got it leveled with some metal caster cups and have the empty tank on it. It seems rickety as hell. Hard to believe it can hold two 110g tanks. It seems crazy high too. From floor to top of tank is 57.5". OC would need a high lift and scuba gear. We'll see how it goes when I get the gravel washed and tank filled tomorrow.

tbh i'm not a big fan of metal stands. I had one for a 20H and everything went good for a year or so then after that the thing broke but my mom caught it in time and we quickly moved the tank onto an old tv stand we had.

You would prob been better off making one out of 2x4s/4x4s. those things are sturdy as hell and I remember a member from way back when building a rack out of 2x4s for like 5 ten gals. he climbed on top of it to make sure it was structerly sound.

Yeah I've got an old stand ment for 2 10 gallons. not a fan. One of my 55 is on a mdf stand. that one worries me if it gets wet. one 30 gallon is on a 2x4 stand and its rock solid. but the best stand I have is over 40 years old. its and old console stereo from the 70s that my grandmother had. turn table 8 track and am fm radio lol. My dog has knocked her toys behind it and I can place my feet on the wall and grab the back and slide it out to get behind it with a full tank without it even acting like it wants to tip.

thats a good thing. I'm always nervous about stuff like that. there is alot of money involved with that. if it fails it's not just the tank but house. when it comes to tanks thats what worries me the most. the stand failing lol. But that being said i'm glad the tank has stiffened up adn is seeming to be good to go :)

Thanks Brandon.

Best I can tell, these Titan eze stands have been on the market since the mid 2000's or so. I'd like to think the heavy-hitter stores that are selling them, wouldn't be if they were a problem. No one can assume the risk.

I emailed caitec.com (company that makes the Titan Eze) in regards to my concerns with this stand's slight side/side and front/back sway with an ~800lb 75g tank on it.

The good thing is, an actual person emailed me back very quickly. The bad is, no real info or solution came of it.

Basically "make sure the floor and/or stand is level", "make sure everything is locked together" and these stands have been on the market for "many, many years and they've never been aware of even a single issue".

I also inquired about any safety certifications these stands may have been required to pass or have been tested for. They totally ignored that inquiry.

I even sent them pics of my setup. "looks good and you shouldn't have a problem".

I'm totally at ease now .

There's a few people at another forum I belong to, who own these stands and love them. I've not found a bad review on them either. We'll see!
