I mail-ordered this fixture for my new 75g oscar tank. I realize planted is pretty much a no-go, but I intend to float some floaters in there for the little bugger to mess up. This light gives off a very nice color and is intensely bright. It covers the whole tank nicely. Fixture was $69 shipped from Aquatraders.

The little bugger keeps nibbling at the wisteria and water sprite floating around in there. Once my anubias grows out some more, I'll float some of that in there too. It grows very slowly in my 10 and 55 setups.

Each is ~0.5w x 72. They're driven by a 15VDC power supply. We were talking about LEDs and heat some time back. The top of the aluminum housing gets about as hot as my T5HO. The power supply gets very warm too. Not much radiant heat below the fixture which is nice. It shouldn't heat the water like a T5HO will.

Cool, I'm a big fan of LED technology. Especially now that they're getting cheaper with programmable settings, t5/t8 and MH are thankfully on their way out.
