ok, this tank has been up for almost a month and ahalf without any major problems. (knocks on wood) I have only lost one dwarf hermit and I still swear that weird thing in the hole on my rock got him, but don't called me paranoid.

I have currently-
11lbs lr
crushed coral
one powerhead
2 true percs
2 peppermint shrimp
2 margarita snails
about 6 hermits of various sizes
1 emerald crab

I am happy to report that my crab hasn't bothered anyone, he's actually more like a true hermit - always stays in his little nook.

My tank still looks boring to me - what should I do. I am considering a light upgrade and adding some corals, but I plan on moving in a couple months although it will just be a local move. Would it be a bad idea to add corals if I'm moving?

no reason not to add the corals now...especially for a ten minute move

first thing you need to do is decide what kind of corals you want...im thinking your tank is a ten gallon so softies would be an excellent choice. for that you will probably want PC lighting

don't forget about T-5's. although i've never owned this kind of lighting myself, many people are saying that they are much better than PC's. they produce less heat, consume less electricity, and they're brighter.

They are very nice, but there's no point buying new lights if what you have is adequate, plus a 10 is a little short for putting T5's on as I think the minimium lengh is about 18, 20 inches. I would get the 96 watts and get zo's , yellow polyps and let them go. Just 3 or 4 types, not a fruit stall display
