Hehe, thanks Matt.
Whether or not the tape stays up there is a question of which will overpower the other: my OCD'edness, or my laziness. Right now the thing is still on there, so 'lazy' seems to be winning out at the moment. But I have a feeling 'OCD' will win-out in the end, so I'll probably take the thing down before too long...:p

Thanks guys!
FishGeek...good suggestion. June 5th will be exactly a year since I brought Triton home from PetSmart, so maybe I'll try throwing something together just in time for that. Of course, he'll still have a lot of growing to do, but it will be a lot more gradual. Plus, I can just update the thread with new growth pics as needed. :D

BV, what do you feed him? I was feeding mine Hikari pellets, but in my last trip to the fishstore, they were out...I bought this HBH Oscar pellet stuff, and since I started using that, the water's been really cloudy...gonna switch back to the Hikari pellets I think...

AlyKat...I feed him mostly Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold+ as a staple, but also freeze-dried jumbo krill (which I sometimes soak in Boyd's VitaChem liquid vitamin supplement). In addition to this, he gets the occasional treat of frozen silversides.

straitjacket...now, now...you just behave yourself missy! :p

But you're right, 'he' could turn out to be female.
I suppose I'll just have to see whether or not any eggs are laid. If Triton turns out female, I'd imagine there oughta be some eggs on the way before too long (after all, Triton has been in my tank for a year now and is about 9-10" TL). If there aren't any eggs by the end of the summer, then I guess I'll just have to assume he's a boy after all... Think that gives it enough time?

Yeah, I got the Hikari when I went yesterday and did a 50% water change...the water was totally gross. Nice and clear now and hopefully it will stay that way! :) If it does, then I know what NOT to buy anymore!
