Where did your brother get the tank and what does he think of the setup? I am thinking of buying one or getting the Oceanic 30g cube. Went and looked at one at the LFS today. Not sure about what I want to put in it. I never run salt tanks but I think it may be my first. I am trying to resist the urge to build a FW plant tank with just inverts (shrip, snails, etc.)

he got the cube at the LFS...$190. he seems really happy with the setup as far as i know...he is getting his cleanup crew today so he is starting to get more heavily into the SW world now.

The 24 DX was $319 at the LFS near me. If it were $190 it would be in my office right now.

i think there are quite a few online retailers selling it for ~$200...but you will have to pay shipping

I wouldnt suggest shipping it. Many get it broken in the mail. I would try to find one online from sail from someone, like on ebay or ar reefcentral.com on the selling threads.

I have the 12 gal Deluxe model and was all ready to make a reef tank outta it. but then I ran outta cash and things were put on hold for the last 2 monthes. Looking at your pics I'm tempted to start again...

I talked with guys at jbjnanocube.com and they said that JBJ is releasing a updated nano cube in a few weeks to fix the cracking problem that some people are experiencing.

occ: i think he ended up with some pretty decent LR. I am still trying to get him to take a new full tank shot
