That first shot is perfect---really shows how the bulbs radiate red hues on the lower end of the spectrum and bluer hues as you move up in terms of the Kelvin rating.

Of course, I realize the 6,500 K bulbs aren't really blue :D ...they just look it compared to the lower spectrum ones you've got.

The 6,500 K bulbs definitely give off a nice high-noon type of lighting that really penetrates down deep into the water...I'd highly recommend them for anyone who intends to grow plants...

Hehe...but perhaps I'm not the best one to listen to as far as anything plant-related goes. LOL

In my Tek-Light fixture, I'm (I was) using a similar array: 1 6500K, 2 10000K, and 1 4000 or 4500K (forgot what it was). I really like 10000K bulbs, but using all bulbs of this temp is a little too blue, and tends to wash some deeper colors out. All 6500K tends to look yellowish at times, but is a decent compromise. Either way, 10000K or 65/700K bulbs, adding a lower Kelvin bulb like MAHA has pictured here really brings out the reds & oranges & purples. It gives the tank a really warm, relaxing feel.

Thanks for the photos MAHA!
