You are right iam going to take back some of my fish tommorow .
i'll keep to of my angel fish as i love them!! And my gouramis, although they are dwarf? Do you know much about Elphant long noses how big they get?

The tank needs to cycle atleast for 1 week and by her putting in a new fish in uncycled water is a death sentence waiting to happen. (grrr)

I agree with your feelings in regard to the fish store people, Milo. However, it takes more than a week to cycle a tank, unless you use biospira. If you're referring to letting the tank sit empty for a week without doing anything to it, such as fishless cycling, that doesn't do anything to make it safer for fish.
