I've done a lot since i last posted pics. the fauna and flora don't match, but i gave up when i couldn't get anywhere looking for african plants for this thing. the most native plant in here is the algae that has covered the shells and rocks, but i've never seen a picture of pristine shells from lake tang (this is how i justify it). Yes, i know there is brown algae on the back wall, but that will be taken care of this week when i get some snails (maybe some ottos, but i have terrible luck with them.)

look closely for the little guys in the rocks

Val was the only native thing i could find, but not in good enough quality for me to want to buy. everything plant related has been in there for at least 3 weeks, and survived, so i am feeling good about that. the flower on the air plant just showed up yesterday, which i thought was awesome. and the julis are out of control. i need to fix the parents or something, it is getting out of hand.

Looking good---nice work on getting the plants to fit in with the rest of the scaping!
Have you got any terrestrial critters in there, or will everything remain strictly aquatic?

Lol...toss some calvus in there---I'm sure they'd pick off a few! :p
