ok i dunno we are off the topic...but i am rasing my fry with sand bottom and they are growin pretty good. None of them have died or nothin. HTH

its just home depot sand...i moved it from my 35 gallon tank..its about 1/2 deep id say and theres a few lava rocks with a couple plants in there...hopefully ill post pics later today
