So you do a fishless cycle starting with the ammonia, sounds like it makes sense.

Balloon fish i can't find ammonia anywhere! I'm close to giving up! lol - I've checked my local boots, tool stores, etc, but tomorrow i'm going up to the main town, and will have a look about the shops around there...

look in the grocery stores or something, there has to be ammonia. You want to look where they have cleaning supplies and cleaning chemicals.

Yeah - i do. I guess pure ammonia cleaning products aren't so popular in England.

no... there has to be... maybe you should ask fish friend when he gets back from his vacation. I'm sure you guys would become good friends (he lives in UK too if i'm not mistaken but not sure where)
