I think it was me that chkn_hawk was refering to as being disease free, but nonetheless, I think we are more-or-less on the same page in regards as to what is going on here, as well as the best approach to take from here.

Since the second dose (as needed) is to be added after 4 days, the weekend camping trip can still take place. It might be a good thing to get away for a couple of days, and then see how things are when you get back.

treating ick

ok so i have a VERY bad case of ick. , every single fish has the ick (except the catfish oddly) ive lost 5 fish, and have 3 left, i have a 27 hex tank.
i vacuumed out my tank, and did a water change the next day, that night i started treating it with ick away.

the bottle says to use med, and next day perform a water change 50 percent then leave it alone for a day.
repeat this for 3 treatments every three days.

now, halfway thru couldnt i vacuum it out again? and i also saw a post about table salt, i have the the salt and wanted to use it but not sure if i can use it with ivk away, or should i use it after my third treatment, and should i do more than 3 treatments?

any help would be greatly appreciated. ive been trying to get a response to my questions for the last few days*BOUNCINGS

If you're already using a medication, stick with the treatment exactly according to the instructions. Don't mix medications with a salt treatment or a heat treatment, as it will likely kill your fish.
