yes, and these lay the eggs in the substrate.
they do also eat plants as they get bigger. they also eat algae off the plant stems, which is good, but I dont want them getting out of control or eating my leaves. I hope that YoYo loach I got eats algae with the snails. I really dont plan on feeding him much. I am testing him out on what he likes and what he doesn't. right now he is used to the pet stores flakes. As soon as I drop a sinking wafer in the tank he goes to the top.

I have one gold mystery, it was an illegal imigrant, and it hasn't layed eggs so far, it's been in the tank for a year...i don't know whats going on with it. I have ramshorns that hitched too...and trumpets which my betta tries to eat. They don't get too out of control, but the eat my fn plants
