Okay, I got my betta. Its red and blue, but there is a bacterial bloom in the bowl so the water is a bit cloudy. I'll post pictures of him when it clears up.
betta bowl buddies work great one tab for the tank and that is that no waiting around for anything to "clear up" it takes everything out and 15 min later you can stick your betta in.
