I always stuck to the not naming the things you eat, lol. But it really is fascinating the way different people go about things and what is comfortable to them I love it!
@Newman you could get a string or something and suspend the light from the ceiling maybe? In some artsy way it'd be totally cute! Or just put a hook in the wall above it and let the light hang over the bowl, just ideas!

my dilemma about this shrimp bowl, it just wont leave my mind now. I have located a nice place for it, on a coffee table. i just have to find a good looking cheap light that can hold the CFL. Trying to figure out if Goodwill is even a store...and im locating one near me.

This statement made my day! I love the differences from coast to coast. I was thinking what do you mean IS Goodwill a store?! Of course it is! Then I realized living on an opposite coasts is like whole new worlds.
Goodwill is kind of like the Salvation Army, you can donate stuff and find lots of old and used treasures for super cheap!

well if i got one of those say mystery snail wouldent it be to small like for a vase , and wouldent it come out of the bowl
Random on snails: i had these tiny snails before and i got and infection buy the petstore and a half a year later i got a bigger tank , i had a 10 gallon tank of snails and i couldn't get them out so i dumped them in my back yard to rot Muhhahaha .

@ Newman...Yes, Goodwill is a store. I work there now! Not sure if they're on your coast though (I forgot you were all the way the heck over there on the east coast).
@ freash_water_monster...ONE horned nerite would work for a 1.5gal shrimp tank (or shrimp bowl). The horned nerites stay smaller. Mystery snails get too larger for small tanks.

You do realize that those pics change EVERY TIME the page reloads (whether you go to the next page in a thread, go to reply to a thread, move to a different thread, etc)? So, the pics that I'm looking at aren't even anywhere near the pics that you saw when you posted that. Maybe you could click on it next time you see the pic. It'll take you to the album with the pic in it and then you can see who put it up.
Plants, plant, and more plants...CO2 setups for the 55gal and the 29gal...hopefully a better fixture for the 20gL...glass tops for the 55gal...decor and plants for Emmett's 10gal...hehe...OH! and non-fish-related stuff...like a saddle, movies, books...yeah, I'm hopeless!
