Started my shrimp vase...
used Cryptocorine, dwarf sag, pygmy chain sword, java fern for plants and hornwort and duckweed for floaters to protect against algae.
I still havent found a suitable lamp though. Right now I am using the hood that is from my minibow 2.5gal tank. it houses a screw in CFL and now i have 14wpg. sounds like fun huh? the duckweed better do its job well.

Will be checking my pond goldfish in the morning considering they bred en masse over summer, had 6 goldfish to begin with and reckon I have somewhere over 100 now.. Hope some of them survive the winter and that it's not as harsh as it was last year! Managed to kill the last batch of fry by forgetting I'd turned the hose on, and the pond flooded the garden somewhat. There was no saving them!
What is with me? It's 4:30am, I've been ridiculously tired for hours, yet I've not even tried sleeping. Damn you MFT for being an epic distraction..

Random announcement...I just MAJORLY SCORED!! I got three big boxes of tank stuff (including a smaller AC filter and a Penguin 170 filter) for $10 of Craigslist!*crazysmil Gonna go through the boxes tomorrow and see what all is there and what works.
