ok heres the latest update..no problems yet, very pleased with both. I will update this periodically, if you have your own experience on canister filters good or bad please add it here. This may help people like me make an informed decision when they decide to upgrade.

F8Fan, does that filter have a country of manufacture on it, I have read that eheim's are being built in a couple different countries, just asking because it may not be the whole product line but be due to the country of manufacture doing crap work.

It says "Made in P R C" Here's a pic of the box bottom:

I wonder if that means Peoples Republic of China?

Still NO WORD back from eheim's customer service!!!!!! And they have bankers hours as far as their telephone customer service....I would call them but their phone customer service ends at like 6PM EST and most of the time I am still at work. But I have sent them two emails to their customer service email address, as well as photos and videos. I'm feeling ignored :( I need to check their website again to see if they take calls on Saturday, and try actually CALLING them tomorrow.

I figured this was do an small update...

I did water changes today and wasnt paying attention and dropped the water level below one of my intakes for the marineland C-360, so I lost the prime, it was PITA to get it primed again, it took roughly 20mins to prime it. Hopefully when I do maintenance on it in a couple weeks and I shut it down properly it will be easier to prime.

As long as you're not having that leak problem we talked about earlier that others have experienced, then that's great!!

not yet..keeping my fingers crossed..like I said I know that marineland was quick to replace the faulty ones so I am hoping they have fixed it.

And my priming issues may be because I am not using the stock intakes..i am using a custom flow kit.

Well since I am ending the third month with both of these I figured it was time for an update. I still havent taken them apart for cleaning but plan to this weekend, I check the output when I do my weekly water changes and so far they havent slowed any, I have to say I am extremely pleased so far, we will see how it goes after cleaning but so far so good.
