Cichlids in a 12 gal?

pets inc. i also saw some realy nice halfbeaks there, and the reptile sectiom, its amazing, they have a 4 1/2 foot monitor lizard. kinda cool when they feed it.

hey, i have lots of cichlids ,africans,convicts,firmouths,jackdempseys,and a texas. they are verry territorial to eachother but they dont have problems with my plecos.. so you can have verry agressive fish with your pleco and they wont be a problem because plecos normally mind there our buessiness , but if you do go with the cichlid idea then you can only put a couple in your 12 gallon because these are big fish ..

Thanks, I am going to keep my Pleco. I think he'll be fine as he's bigger now, so I think he can stand up for himself. Of course when he gets to big I will have to get a larger tank, or take him back to the lfs.

theimpossibles-from what I've read on here, they tend to bully and chase the cories since they both want bottom area. But, with only 1 ram they are usually fine, since one ram isn't as aggressive as a pair.
