I would fully recommend cory catfish to anyone. They are a perfect citizen and are sooooooooo fun to watch. They are very comical and even have personalities. They never fight with any fish and can even survive on their own, although they are much funner when theres more. They don't get big at all and are cheap and easy to take care of. a perfect 10 in my book.

They can survive on their own or are happy on their own? I dont want to get just one if it will be miserable, and I dont really have a lot of bottom area, lots of structures and plants so it would have to be two tops. I want happy fish!

All my tanks are on timers for 12 hours a day of full lighting, thats what the plants get in nature.
Your ID Shark (pangassius) is probably suffering from oxygen levels being too low, pump up the volume of air and movement and it should perk up.
As Catfishmike said, "i love all catfish so that's why i don't like the idea of id sharks in the aquarium.no need to freak the poor buggers out".

I just took the Id shark to my LFS today (he still wasnt looking good). The owner tested my water for nitrate and amonia levels and they were perfect =) I also dont think it was the air as I have a Emperor 400 running in my 29 gal. as my bf says, its like putting a V8 in a civic, I mean I have waves at the top of my tank! The fish love it though, they swim about in the current all the time. Anyway, to the point here, turns out that little sharky had a infection, a slight cut near one of his fins and it was stopping him from swimming. He is now going to be treat and made all better =)
