Yep, they're incandescent, so they won't support plants. Get yourself a couple of screw-in fluorescent bulbs (around 6,700 K (Kelvin) - daylight spectrum) and you'll be fine. I like the ones they have in the Wal-Mart fish section, but other daylight bulbs will work.

yeah Lotus is dead on- those bulbs won't support your plants. The sooner you get some plant-friendly bulbs the better, and then your plants will start to grow healthily again.

update: my crawdad is running around his tank more and has gotten less and less scared of me.

though i saw this at the bottom of the tank....it looks kinda like a spider nest, white fuzzy kinda like clouds but stuck to the gravel. could this be eggs? or is it some kind of algae that i need to get rid of?

originally this patch was underneath of the cave, but i moved the cave to a spot where the crawdad can hide better, but i can still see it.
