So does this "he" have those appendages on his underside that I showed in my previous post?

Sounds like he's prowling around the tank in search of a female and/or food...probably both. Hehe...definitely hold off on putting anything else in there with him (as far as bottomdwellers go) until we know for sure whether or not he is a male alleni.

I take it back, from what I have seen now, and perhaps the behaviour... it is a female (the burrowing etc..) and I see a lack of those upside down V's, and more of an indent on the underneath....

EDIT: Ok I take it back I have no idea whether or not its a male or female... lol..... I'll take pictures and post them when i get them.. because god knows I have no clue

Lol...don't sweat it.
You could very well have a female Australian RedClaw, in which case her underside wouldn't appear a whole lot different (not without very close inspection, that is) than the underside of Florida 'Electric Blue' Cray (what I have).

The pics will tell all, so we'll wait for those. ;)

As for the burrowing...both males and females do this, so it's not really indicative of your specific cray's gender.
