yea the cloudiness is due to the flourite. I took most of the gravel out and rinsed it and drained all the water from the tank then filled it back up. I can see through the tank now but its still brown I think it might be gone by sunday.I was worried that the cloudiness who hurt my filter because I read it would on another forum. (too late now)
I've already added the ammonia (its 4 ppm) and I haven't started to see the any nitrites.
My other tank has some tannins in it but I did that on purpose, it doesn't make the tank as bright.
I don't know why I asked if the filter had to be on..of course it does. oh well I'm betting the cycle will take 2 weeks we'll see. I get my lights next week so I can start moving my plants.
