Dead fish

Today when i fed the fish i noticed that a cluster of small bubbles on the water surface around the plant and one of the gouramis always hangs out at that specific plant, could it be a bubble nest?

It's possible. Do you have a female in there?

As you no my tank was overstocked, re-homed some fish, stock levels are ok. I just need one more fish now, im looking for a small colourful fish that is compatable with with dwarf gourami's and it must be a algue eater, any suggestions?

How long has your tank been set up? It's not good to keep any type of algae eaters until your tank has been established for 6-8 months.

the snails will eat algae. you dont need an algae eating fish.

Ok cool, i've decided not to add any more fish to the tank. I'll leave it as it is. I'm rather gona start with another planted 10g.Will betta's do well in a planted tank? can i have more than 1 betta in the same tank, can a male and female betta stay together in the same tank and is the betta compatable with rainbow fish?
