Back to the original post, I have (and have had) african dwarf frogs. I love them. They are an excellent addition to almost any tank and are facinating to watch. Everyone who comes by could care less about the fish, they just ask "Where's the frog?" lol. They aren't all that active, unless they want to be, and are not in any way aggressive. They get along with most types of fish and could be put in with aggressive fish, too. Even if an aggressive fish came after it, the odds of it being caught are slim to none - boy do they haul when they want to! They also take refuge in the teeniest spots, such as behind the filter. One word of caution - make sure you are getting an African Dwarf Frog, and not an African Clawed Frog. Clawed frogs grow to be 5 and a half inches! whereas the Dwarfs grow to 1 and a half. Also, Clawed frogs do have claws and aren't afraid to use them; they have been known to claw at other fish, especially the eyes. They are aggressive and should be kept alone. Hint: dwarf frogs have four toes, whereas a Clawed frog has three "claws"
Hope this helps a little
