Today i went into the petstore with that famous look dont buy attitude, it failed. I bought a turqouise jewel cichid. i figured it'd be a disaster but him and lilly didnt even flair fins at each other. Next week im finishing off my tank with 5 tiger barbs. heres a pic of the new fish. Please dont get onto me to bad :D Aquadvisor said once i get all the fish in that my tank will be 98% stocked and only said the cherry barbs mite get bullied a lil.

he's beautiful but you should have more self-control! Hopefully the poor cherry barbs won't be bullied. I wouldn't add the tiger barbs either, you should just fill out your schools. (add 3 more danios, and three more cherry barbs... or remove the cherry barbs so they won't get bullied and add the tigers...)

You should up your schools to at least four. Mine seem more comfortable in schools of at least four rather than two or three. What kind of catfish did you want? Weren't you having issues with Zipper and Rojo?

When I plug jewel cichlid into aq advisor for a 20 g long tank, it says it isn't recommended and will grow too big, as well as being aggressive for the cherry barbs...just a thought.

Do you have some sort of algae eater or just scavengers? I'd suggest something that would eat algae for your last fish rather than semi-aggressive barbs, but I'm not sure how well a pleco-ish-thing would fare with the cichlids you have.

I think both Siamese and Chinese Algae Eaters are generally docile until they get bigger, then they may get aggressive. Go with a black molly maybe?

No, I think your CAE will be the bully.

Mollies are livebearers, but black ones (only black ones? all ones? I've heard black) will eat algae, but I hear they're not all that effective.

Also, welcome back lauraf.
