additional info

Just curious how your tank ended up? I have the same tank and I'm starting new, any ideas or suggestions would be appreicated. I really need some advise on filtration and flow. Right now I have 1.5" of LS and 11 pounds of LR and running a Millennium 2000 filter. Did you use a skimmer ? and what about flow problems?

Thanks
Steve

Well tank is going good, its still pretty bare as i'm a poor college student. I'm working my way into some easy corals.

Everything is good so far. As far as filtration i'm just using an Aquaclear 70 (formally Aquaclear 300) and thats basically for water flow. Only using sponges in the filter. Havn't made the AC fuge yet. I'd like to get a small powerhead for the lower portion of the tank.

I didn't use a skimmer. Although as i look back, and look ahead it would probably be worth it to have one.

Some changes i wish i would have done was the skimmer and the live sand. I might switch out my crushed coral to live sand anyway, but wish i would have started with it.
