I would have to agree with lovefish(I didnt see the post before I posted) aquaclears are good filter in that they have sponges that you can just rinse off with water(I use old tank water to get the junk out so that the cholrine in the water doesnt kill the bacteria) I have had the same sponges in for over 2 years and still working good. I dont want to say you have to go out and spend more money on a filter if you dont want to but if you can afford it, it wouldnt hurt.

I have 9 rams.. And they all are getting along well. They do there usally play fight. But thats what makes them awsome to watch. its funny.. Even the smallest ram (i call tiny) gets into it. They are awsome.

WELL I HAVE 3 MALES INCLUDING 6 FEMALES IN MY TANK.. ALL THREE HAVE THERE TURF THEY COVER IN THE TANK. SO FAR NO PROBLEMS WITH THEM. IF ITS A GOOD IDEA OR NOT. MINE ARE DOING FINE. *BOUNCINGS

sounds like your 3 males are players*SUPERSMIL . i have a male blue ram and a female blue ram that get along with my male and female golden rams. my goldens rams are now proud parents of 1 day old fry!!!!!!!!!!*SUPERSMIL *SUPERSMIL *SUPERSMIL *celebrate

Rams need excellent water quality otherwise they will die, if I were you I'd cycle the new tank with some of the fish you already have, then buy some rummy nose tetra's, as these are sensitive to water quality too, then once they are thriving you can add the Rams.

They need to be added about 4 months later to be really safe, they need a well mature tank and really clean water (Discus style [R.O]) Get 4 females to one male, that way if one does pair off, they wont be constantly bullying the same ram
They need lots of care, and dont let them die and waste your money, they are a really rere fish

Rare fish? I see them in every fish store i go into. They're not so rare where i live, but they sure are beautiful and not cheap.
