My oto has , much to eat as they eat more then JUST algae, he cleans the plants, the bottom, and the glass. So it is all good.

Yes, they eat the algae off the plants, bottom, glass, and ornaments in the tank. No algae=no food. You won't have algae in your tank for awhile, in the meantime, please supplement his diet with some algae wafers. Fish love those too.
