Gravel Cleaner , What the hell?!

Ive just realised, for years ive been actually filling the siphon with water, and tipping it upwards !!!!!!! thats such an old and hard way!!!!!

OK guys, I figured it out. I paid $14.99 for a piece of Petco crap that will never work no matter how hard I try. I've tried everything you guys mentioned and I even cut the gravel cleaner in half so that it would fully submerge. It STILL doesn't work and I think its because the valve at the top, which they claim "allows for easy start siphoning", isn't made correctly and gets stuck half shut. The make-shift pop bottle that I made works great however. So once again a big Thank You! goes to Petco products and personnel for more dead fish and faulty equipment than I care to spend the money on. Well, the tubing works good, I guess they couldn't screw that up, it only cost me $15...sheesh....

yea, very funny, u dont have to be a rocket scientist to use a syphon. A monkey could do it.
