How deep for sand?

How much sand will I need for my new tank>

How deep should it be?

Been on practical fishkeeping to use a calculator and it say for 155l 61cm long x 61cm high x 46cm wide I need 14.4kg.

Umm, I use gallons and it's generally 1lb per gallon. So, I'd say about 40lbs of sand should do you right.

If you mean the 29g tank that "rock" next to the reddish-colored fake plant is a cave I bought at PetSmart. I actually took that out a couple weeks ago.

sorry for posting back so late, i was just doing reading recently and yes if you just keep up with like gravel vacuuming it and stirring it up it wont compact, just never let it sit to long, i do like the look of a sand tank as well alot maybe my third tank will have sand. lol oh what can happen.
