sorry but i felt i had to reply
On day I hope you will learn that most people, especially when arguing on the Internet, only succeed in getting up out of their chair, standing on the table, waving their baggage around their head wildly, before sitting down again. It does very little to anyone without the same baggage, and very little to them as well. There is a time and a place to do that, I tried to make it NOT HERE ;) Start another thread, and you'll hear how much I love animals and nature, the good and the bad.

CONVICTS
I wrote something about Occam's Razor, nature, and man's place manipulating it, and that's where we left off.

GRAMMER
I already linked to this little article on Trust or Bust: Communicating Trustworthiness in Web Design. And while it's touching on web design instead of human grammer, I assure you, when u start talkin like this u tend 2 sound 2pid.

Sorry, I just had to wave my baggage around, see? And I assure you, you won't actually start typing things out. :D

I know it's not the right place to say it, but since you seem to be making a deal of it in a post that does not concern you, abbreviating words like you do makes you look like a moron. Spend the extra effort typing words out; it gives you much more credibility. Grammar is far more important than you would like to think it is.

If you have problems, PM me, don't pollute the threads.

Furthermore, your logic is way off base. Feeding fish to fish is not a problem. Whether you would like to believe so or not is personal opinion, not factual credence.

Regardless, please try not to disrupt the continuity of existing threads. Start your own if you deem it appropriate.

Drita

Not to sound self-absorbed but, can this thread be reserved for a little girl named Drita?

Antony and Rosa have been nursing a secret romance for the past few days; not long after everyone settled down in the tank, and Bernard started chasing everyone at once, Rosa seemed to think that the mild-mannered, dependable Antony was the way to go. They would court in secret, behind rocks, flipping their fins at each other and displaying, whenever they ran into each other, felt in the mood, and Bernard wasn't around to stop them. It was quite cute.

Drita, however the Champion Roacher, has always been low girl on the totem pole. A life of soletude in the upper right corner of the tank, or just hiding out in caves, aside from coming out for food and snapping up roachs before the others can really decide what to do, seemed to be her destiny... and perhaps later... being a floater if a pair teams up on her.

Today's Revelations:
While Drita has learned to flee into the many cave structures, and swim all through them while being pursued, the troubling picture I came to this morning was watching Rosa (Antony's girl) and Bernard tag team chasing her.

I thought "Where is Antony?"

Antony was hiding too, and when he came out, Rosa chased HIM! I thought "Whoa, is that Rosa, or Antony? No that's definately Rosa, markings and shape does not lie."

Rosa has decided she wants el hombre terrible (in Spanish that sounds like terr-RI-bleh), and Bernard couldn't be happier that his Bolshevik tactics have worked .

So now Antony and Drita spend their time in caves... and not together, either. Antony still chases Drita, as if a last desperate ghasp at saying "Well at least I'm not the lowest fish on the totem pole!"

I mean, this is really strange because my wife and I used to love watching Antony and Rosa do their courtship routine in secret, whenever they found each other behind a series of rocks, away from Bernard, it was so cute. But I noted that it was always Antony that would have to get Rosa's attention, and I thought she seemed like "you're average cheerleader." Well now she's changed her mind and flitters a little with Bernard, and helps him chase the others.

These fish are... hah hah :D

Thoughts and advice?

Update: The Two Fish Tank
Rosa actually courted with Antony earlier today, and when Bernard came by, he started to display too. He then chased off Antony, and Rosa turned and helped, and then Rosa courted with Bernard.

My wife, seeing this, sighed, makeing a "tsk" sound and said "I think she's Mexican." I had to chuckle.

The problem is that only Bernard and Rosa are in the tank. Antony spends his entire day in the lower left "Gray" cave area, and Drita anywhere she can (she gets spotted and chased into new hiding places).

Antony and Drita are not happy. At this rate, nature running it's course dictates we have a two-fish 38 gallon tank, which is correct, I believe, in natural terms.

You may want to look....

... in some of those caves for little brownish-white eggs. If Bernard & Rosa start favoring one pot, and it seems as if one does the chasing while the other stays near that spot, they may have spawned....

While this may not sound easy, removing any eggs may make life easier on Drita and Antony if the other pair aren't so territorial about everything.

Roger that, thanks Beaker. Watching them is fun to do ;)

My wife an Avalon agree that I should just leave them alone. Odd that the lady of the family is the one man enough to say "If the others die that's nature" essentially but she's kinda right, especially as we have no other tanks.

I just don't know whether to laugh or cry hah hah *laughingc so I'll do both.

I was at a similar junction a couple weeks back (2 parents, 3 others getting chased around...) ... So I bought another tank (actually 3)... (I realize this isn't an option for you)

Now I need to build a better fishtank stand to hold two 30 longs stack one above the other.....

One other option I haven't seen anyone mention is to get some dither fish, such as a school of Zebra Danios. They might help calm the fish some, and usually are left alone by my convicts... I'll set some other people comment on that for sure though.
