Hole in the head

SOo one of my discus has hole in the head..Hoping for a cure..There really isnt one, but still searching the net hoping to find one..This sucks Hes getting darker each day, more holes each day..Geez should i euthanize him?I hate doing it, but feel i have no choice now.. I just dont want the rest of my discus to get it. Sad

125g - 6 discus

Excellent filtration..
water changes once a week 40%
only fluids that go into my tank are flourish

The cause for holeinthehead is unknown from what they say.

i dont know what i would do if that happened to me...
i suppose...medicate him with macaryn 2 unless its in late stages.

Look whos getting better!
His color is coming back, started eating again, except for those dark stress bars. Well seeing improvement..I was really giving up on him too..

lots of Wcs should help
and btw, were you feeding him live food?
sometimes HIH can be caused by malnurousihment.

Yes i did 3 water changes in a week, all at 40%. After yesterdays change, he started to show improvement. I dont think he was malnourished. All my discus are really good eaters. Except for one of my youngest, who gets bullied around,but i ended up giving him his own feeder and eats well now.

I feed them 2 cubes of discus formula a day by Jack Wattley - mixture of bloodworms,clams,plankton,shrimp,mysis shrimp,spinach,vitamins.

and granules made for larger fish.
