the male is dead and gone, but last night the female laid a weak batch of eggs anyway. there was nobody there to fertilize them, and now they're fungused but she's guarding them anyway.

Ouch, that hurts.   :(  Sorry to hear that BDB.  Sincere wishes for better luck real soon.  If it's any consolation, you're not the only one have bad luck w/ fishies and babies.  We just lost 28 out of 30 baby kribbies that we had, no cause found as yet.

Once again, may you have better luck very soon.  Keep us all posted on the situation.

BDB Find any?

PDM, I to would be interested in a few rams I BDB doesn't take them all, lol

PDM, good idea.  That might be in our future also.

BDB, great news, eh?  Glad to hear that things went well for you on your visit to WOF.  This just might be the break that you've been needing.  Congrats!   *celebratesmiley*

Not at all!

In fact, I was eyeing up a pair of beautiful Kribbies at the LFS yesterday. I would have bought them, but the 28 gallon is not set up.

There are a couple of old mattresses leaning along the only suitable portion of wall for now (until I can make a midnight run to a dumpster or something LOL!), and I need to save some cashola for the PC light strip, laterite or flourite and plants.

Really? To be honest the german rams looked crappy to me. The fins were SUPER beat up, and one in the tank had red inflamed gills. Also, their color was very drab. They were also $9.00 each, which is nuts.

But ... I was hard up for Rams, and I figure with proper care coloration and fins will improve over time.

Still, they're not as great specimens as my first pair. I think I lucked into some show quality fish on accident or something.

Oh, and thanks again for the tip.

I bought some white clouds too. Did you see the little aquarium they had on the counter with all the baby white clouds? Cute. I had to get a pair.

;D I only saw a few, and of the ones I saw, they were the best looking yet (tells what kinda shape I've found them in). I almost had to get a pair of white clouds to.. sooo cute! Love that 5 gallon eclipse they have planted on the desk, soo pretty. 9 bucks for each ram is almost what I paid, cheapest I found them was 7.50... There over priced on some things, I was seriously consitering a pair of there apistos, but, for 40 bucks, I just couldn't do it.. It was waay to much... Have you ever bought plants from them? Almost got some micro swords last week, but, went for more live rock from Something Fishy instead...

*smacks head* something fishy ... i ALWAYS forget that place exists. I should call them about rams.

I've bought plants from WOF a few times. I recall buying a large coffeefolia anubias and a really decent chunk of glossostigma.

If you're looking for plants, check out terre quatics in osseo.
